From Rhetoric to Humanity – A Call for Genuine Peace in a World of Endless Claims

In the shadow of daily jokes, threats, and bold victory declarations that flood our screens, the human heart grows weary. While one side proclaims triumph after triumph, the reality on the ground tells a different story: escalation continues, suffering deepens, and innocent lives — Jewish, Muslim, and Christian alike — pay the heaviest price for decisions made far from the battlefield.
Yayasan Pendidikan Indonesia stands firm in the belief that education’s highest purpose is to nurture wisdom, empathy, and the courage to choose dialogue over destruction. Today, we echo the urgent voice rising from concerned global citizens: true peace cannot be built on victory claims or rejected peace proposals. It demands something far braver — genuine dialogue from all sides.
Iran has not been defeated. Iran has not surrendered. The conflict rages on, and with every new headline of “winning,” the number of grieving families grows. Children lose parents. Families lose homes. Faith communities that once coexisted in shared lands now mourn together under the same sky. This is not victory. This is humanity’s shared failure.
We at Yayasan Pendidikan Indonesia believe education must illuminate the path forward. Our classrooms, our youth programs, and our community initiatives teach one timeless lesson: real strength lies not in domination, but in the willingness to sit at the table — even with those we disagree with — and listen. True leadership is measured not by how loudly one claims victory, but by how sincerely one pursues justice, balance, and the protection of every innocent life.
We call upon leaders everywhere — including those who speak daily of triumph — to move beyond rhetoric. Serious peace talks are not a sign of weakness; they are the ultimate act of courage and responsibility. Fair and balanced requirements, rooted in mutual respect and the sanctity of human life, must guide every negotiation. No more games. No more jokes that mask tragedy. Only honest conversation that puts people — all people — before politics.
To the young generation of Indonesia and the world: you are not powerless. Educate yourselves on history without hatred. Learn to see the shared humanity in every faith and every flag. Choose compassion as your daily victory. When leaders trade threats, let your voices rise for peace. When victory is declared while hospitals overflow and schools lie in rubble, let your hearts refuse to accept it as normal.
Yayasan Pendidikan Indonesia remains committed to building a world where education plants the seeds of lasting peace. We invite every teacher, parent, student, and citizen to join us in this mission. Let us replace daily claims with daily compassion. Let us turn rejection of proposals into acceptance of responsibility.
Because in the end, the only victory worth celebrating is the one where no mother buries her child, no child loses their future, and every faith can pray in safety.
Peace is not the absence of conflict — it is the presence of justice through dialogue.
Together, let us educate for humanity.
Together, let us build the peace our children deserve.
